Called and carried by the Almighty

Called and Carried by the Almighty

I don’t know who this word is for today, but who told you that the mission of your calling would be easy?

Many times, when God calls us, we imagine clarity, smooth paths, and immediate strength. Yet Scripture shows us something different. When God called Moses, he felt inadequate (Exodus 3–4). When He called Jeremiah, he said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young” (Jeremiah 1:6). When He called Gideon, he saw himself as the least in his family (Judges 6:15). The pattern is clear: God does not call the confident — He calls the willing.

If God called you, He will guide you.

Isaiah 42:16 says, “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known… I will turn the darkness into light before them.”The calling of God always comes with the promise of His guidance. He never assigns a purpose without also committing His presence.

Recognize who your God is.

He is El Shaddai — the Almighty. In Luke 1:37 we are reminded, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” What feels overwhelming to you is not overwhelming to Him. What looks closed to you is not closed to Him. His power is unlimited, unrestricted, and undefeated.

Do not underestimate the power of God over your life.

Sometimes the greatest limitation is not our lack of ability but our small perception of God’s power. Ephesians 3:20 declares that He is able “to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” The same power that raised Christ from the dead now works within those who believe (Romans 8:11).

Do not lose focus on the purpose and plan God has for you.

Distractions, delays, and difficulties are not signs that God has changed His mind. James 1:17 reminds us that with Him there is “no variation or shadow due to change.” He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). His character is steady even when your circumstances are not.

And remember this: God is not calling prepared people — He prepares the people He calls.

1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise… the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” The process may stretch you, refine you, and humble you, but it is in the stretching that strength is formed.

So today, if the journey feels heavy, if the assignment feels larger than you, if the process feels longer than expected — do not underestimate the power of God over your life.

He called you.
He is guiding you.
He is preparing you.
And He will complete what He started (Philippians 1:6).

๐ŸŒฟ Meditation Prayer

Lord, remind me that my calling does not depend on my strength but on Yours. Teach me to trust Your power, Your preparation, and Your perfect timing. When I feel inadequate, help me see Your sufficiency. Keep my focus on Your purpose and guard my heart from discouragement. I believe You are able. Amen.
