God will stir up the pot in your life

Sometimes God has to stir the pot of your life so that what’s hidden can rise to the surface—so you can see it and deal with it. What makes a soup rich and creamy are the nutrients that float to the top when the pot is stirred. But too often, we skim off those very nutrients and throw them away, not realizing we’re discarding what’s most valuable. This message was given to me by the Lord. In clearer words: sometimes we already have the answers to the questions we ask God. Sometimes He has already given us solutions. But we don’t examine them—we don’t recognize their value. And so, God allows a kind of “revolution” to happen in our lives, to bring clarity and draw our attention to what was there all along. Sometimes the answers are visible—God brings them right to the surface—but we either don’t take them seriously, don’t know what to do with them, or simply push them aside and end up missing out. Even when God gives us clarity, we can still fail to see what He’s trying to tell us.

When Good Things Become Other Gods Recognizing the Subtle Idols That Compete for the Throne of the Heart

Other Gods: The Subtle Idols of the Heart When we say, “I don’t serve other gods,” most of us think of carved images or false religions. But Scripture reveals something deeper. An idol is anything that takes the place that belongs to God alone. It is not always visible. It is often internal. It lives in the heart and governs the mind. Yet before we go further, let’s bring balance. This message is not saying: Relationships are wrong. Money is evil. Success is sinful. Rest is laziness. Caring for yourself is selfish. God created work. God created relationships. God created provision. God created rest. The issue is not possession — it is position. The issue is not having — it is ruling. When Good Things Take God’s Place Money is not evil. Scripture says the  love  of money is a root of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). We are called to work and provide (1 Timothy 5:8). God even gives power to produce wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Relationships are blessings. God Himself said it is not g...

“Which Kingdom Are You Serving?”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT 🤍 The Lord placed these questions on my heart. I wrote them down and have meditated on them since. Today, I feel led to share them. Take a moment to reflect: Are you working for the Kingdom of Heaven… or the kingdom of hell? Are we building each other up… or working against one another? How do I know if I’m working for someone or against them? What attitudes, words, or behaviors create division among us? The things I say. The things I watch. The things I listen to. The things I consume. The thoughts I entertain. The emotions I feed. The actions I take… Are they drawing me closer to God — or pulling me away from Him? The people I love and who surround me — Am I helping lead them toward God? Or is my influence pushing them away? The gifts, opportunities, and blessings I receive — Are they strengthening my relationship with God… Or quietly replacing it? This isn’t about condemnation. It’s about alignment. Every day, we are building something — either advancing the ...

Stirring the pot

Stirring the Pot Scripture Anchor: "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts."  — Psalm 139:23 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…"  — James 1:5 There are moments in our lives when everything feels unsettled. Circumstances shift. Emotions rise. Questions surface. It feels as if God has taken the spoon and begun stirring the pot of our lives. I once shared this message before, but as I revisited it today, it stirred my heart again. Sometimes God has to stir the pot in your life so you can see what rises to the surface. When you cook soup, the richest nutrients often rise to the top when the pot is stirred. Yet many times, we skim that layer off and throw it away without realizing it contains substance and value. In the same way, when God allows movement, pressure, or even discomfort in our lives, it is often to reveal what is already there — answers we have prayed for, wisdom we have received, convictions He has placed ...

Peace, Purpose, and Trust in Jesus

✨ Called With Purpose Peace, Purpose, and Trust in Jesus Peace can only be found in Jesus through faith. He fulfills us with joy as we trust in Him. In gratitude, we honor and glorify His precious name— the name above all names. For He loves us all. He gives hope. He gives purpose. He restores what is broken. He walks with us in every season. Life may bring questions. It may bring challenges. It may test our faith. But in Jesus, there is a peace that the world cannot give. A peace that remains, even in uncertainty. A joy that comes from knowing we are loved. A hope that carries us forward. Bible  – Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Bible  – Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Devotional Reflection: True fulfillment is not found in thi...

A Heart that Seeks God

The Lord woke me up at 3:21 in the morning today to write these verses and share them with you. Psalm 24:3-5 reminds us: Question: Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord? Who will stand in His holy place? Answer: He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to vanity or sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of salvation. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” — Matthew 5:8 “May He grant you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” — Psalm 20:4 But notice carefully what this verse teaches. God’s promise is not a license for selfish desires. If the longing of the heart is to obtain what belongs to others or to pursue vain and worldly ambitions, we should not expect God to approve such desires. We must examine our hearts. If our motives are rooted in pride or worldly gain, God is not pleased with that condition, and He will not grant requests that contradict His will. “Del...

Called and carried by the Almighty

Called and Carried by the Almighty I don’t know who this word is for today, but who told you that the mission of your calling would be easy? Many times, when God calls us, we imagine clarity, smooth paths, and immediate strength. Yet Scripture shows us something different. When God called Moses, he felt inadequate (Exodus 3–4). When He called Jeremiah, he said,  “I do not know how to speak; I am too young”  (Jeremiah 1:6). When He called Gideon, he saw himself as the least in his family (Judges 6:15). The pattern is clear: God does not call the confident — He calls the willing. If God called you, He will guide you. Isaiah 42:16 says,  “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known… I will turn the darkness into light before them.” The calling of God always comes with the promise of His guidance. He never assigns a purpose without also committing His presence. Recognize who your God is. He is El Shaddai — the Almighty. In Luke 1:37 we are reminded,  “For no...
